Join us as we embark on a truly indulgent escape to the South Coast of NSW.
Rolling hills and wide open spaces set amongst a backdrop of coastal beaches, Kiama provides the perfect setting for a stop to inspect the array of country craft, artisan and antique ware on display, as well as bric-a-brac, collectibles, plants and beautiful homemade items at the Seaside markets.
Not too far down the road Coolangatta Estate invites us to sample their fine wine and gourmet cheese. Established in 1822 the estate is the site of the first European settlement on the South Coast of NSW.
Alive with history the original convict built village is situated on the foothills of Mt Coolangatta & surrounded by sprawling vineyards & landscaped gardens.
Continuing on our journey of tastes, Berry will satisfy our appetite for a good cappuccino to a three course meal. With a population of less than 2,000 and with lovely treed avenues, Berry has maintained the atmosphere of an unspoilt rural township. The shade and fresh scents of its famous trees provide a beautiful venue for our visit today. Take your time to meander the beautiful antique stores or sit in a cafe and watch the world go by.
Warm yourself by the open fire at the Berry Hotel or get lost in one of the back streets in a quaint cafe serving gourmet fare, the choice is yours. Our stay here is 2 hours. Relax and take a load off.
Returning home, we call into Crooked River Wines and indulge in the gourmet cheese platter comprising King Island double cream brie, Tilba vintage cheddar, Mauri Gorgonzola Dolce Blue, housemade mustard fruits, quince paste & green apple with poppy seed lavosh. Umm tempting isn’t it?
A decadent end to an indulgent day, we will arrive into Sydney after 5pm. |
